Little Is Much

Wow, two posts in a day. Check out these lyrics, it spoke to me today.

What is the measure of a life well lived
If all I can offer seems too small to give
This is a song for the weaker, the poorer
And so-called failures

Little is much when God's in it
And no one can fathom the plans He holds
Little is much when God's in it
He changes the world with the seeds we sow
Little is much, little is much

Who feels tired and under-qualified
Who feels deserted, and hung out to dry
This is a song for the broken, the beat-up
And so-called losers

Consider a Kingdom in the smallest seed
Consider that giants fall to stones and slings
Consider a child in a manger
Consider the story isn't over
What can be done with what you still have

That's my heart, to make sure God is in all I do, big or small... there's no heartbreak with it like that.

You Alone

You are the only one I need
I bow all of me at Your feet
I worship You alone

You have gven me more than
I could ever have wanted
And I want to give You my heart and my soul

You alone are Father
And You alone are good
You are alone are Savior
And You alone are God

I'm alive, I'm alive
I'm alive, I'm alive

The Great Escape

In Romans 12:2 Paul tells us to "not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is God's good, pleasing, and perfect will."

For all the promises in this text, we will often neglect the most important part. It's the center that is the key to knowing God's perfect will for our life! "Be Transformed." That's it. There should have been a period after those two words. The Scripture is crystal clear that there is divine activity that takes place within us when we accept Christ into our life and it changes our life forever! 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that "we are a new creature" and "old things are passed away."

At the same time, there is a huge role we play in this transformation. No one can force this on you, nor can it be anyone elses ambition for your life, it has to come from you, you have to want it! Sometimes it may take a lot of different experiences to bring us to it. Some of us will insist on going through tremendous pain, disappointment and failure before we come to it. Eventually we have to be able to look ourself in the mirror and decide there's someone else we want to see there. To get there, we have to hear the cry of our own soul that says "I want to change!"

Thankful

I have so much to be thankful for: my salvation, health, life, friends, family, church, pastor, God, parents, sisters, Christ, love, house, car, clothes, money, grace, mercy, forgiveness, eternal life, nieces, nephews, grandparents, cell phone, plasma tv, furniture, bed, heat, air condition, playstation, food, bed, great city, sports, computers, long-distant friends, peace, Jesus, church friends, teens, college football, doing what I love to do, reading, the Word of God, intimacy with my Savior...just to name a few.

I have absolutely nothing to complain and stress about...nothing!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sunday Night Bible Study time!

Hey guys, I just want to remind you all about our Max-Q Bible study that started tonight. It will be on every Sunday night at 6:00. The journals are $10 a piece. Don't miss a great oppourtunity to learn more about sharing your faith with unbelievers, yet never compromising your standards as a Christian! See you all on Wednesday, and hopefully next Sunday night!

-D.C.
